The ongoing price war between mobile carriers is about to pay more dividends for consumers. AT&T is prepared to subsidize the 3G iPhone due out this summer by as much as $200, according to Fortune. Customers who commit to a 2-year contract will be able to land one for $199. Meanwhile, Rogers inked a deal to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. T-Mobile is expected to finally launch its 3G Internet-access service, possibly as soon as this week in New York, according to published reports. While data-download prices will not change for T-Mobile customers, they will need to use a handset that is compatible with the carrier’s service — devices from Nokia and Samsung are already on the market.
