Reports are circulating that Wal-Mart will begin selling a 4GB version of the 3G iPhone for just $99 before New Year’s Day. Apple has yet to comment. The huge retailer did strike a similar deal to offer Android-based G1 phones for $148.88 – about $30 cheaper than what T-Mobile charges. (Cynopsis 12/8)
