On Thursday Livestation
, a P2P desktop application for streaming live TV broadcasts, will show a preview for its iPhone/iPod Touch app to do the same. Yes – live TV on the iPhone. Luckily we don’t have to wait. They’ve got a YouTube video, embedded after the jump, which shows the app working on an iPhone. (http://uk.techcrunch.com/2008/12/03/live-tv-on-the-iphone-livestation-previews-its-app/ 12/3)

The next gPhone has arrived, and surprisingly, it looks pretty nice. Although Techcrunch was all very excited about China’s Sciphone
(not really), the Kogan Agora
and its upgraded twin, the Agora Pro, are probably a much better bet. (http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/12/03/next-major-android-handset-revealed-the-agora/ 12/3)
iPhone development house Tapulous
has announced two new premium versions of its mega-hit Tap Tap Revenge, both of which feature licensed music (still a rarity on the fledgling platform). The announced games include exclusive tracks recorded by Weezer, as well as a collection of tracks from DJ superstars like Moby, Daft Punk, and The Chemical Brothers. Very nice. I’d like Rihanna’s Disturbia please.
UK-based Truphone, a VoIP service provider for Wifi/data enabled handsets, today unveils a special version for owners of the iPhone Touch. The move is significant. The software effectively turns the Touch into a mobile phone, if limited to calls over WiFi. But there will be plenty of young people and college students who will use the Touch now for calls as well as WiFi over their campus networks. MobiTV announced its managed network for mobile television and radio has surpassed the five million subscriber mark. MobiTV is available on more than 350 handsets across 20 carrier networks including AT&T, Sprint and Alltel in the U.S. (Cynopsis 12/4)
