Google has joined Apple in adding a so-called “kill switch” to its Android-powered handsets as a way of removing third-party software that violates the company’s terms of agreement. “Google may discover a product that violates the developer distribution agreement … in such an instance, Google retains the right to remotely remove those applications from your device at its sole discretion,” states an Android Market agreement.
