LG Electronics has introduced its second Prada-branded handset that features one key difference with the original version: an ultrathin QWERTY keyboard that easily slides out from under the handset that — along with more on-screen buttons — makes it easier to use the phone, the company says. Mobile gaming companies are in effect saying, “wait ’til next year” for sales of phones equipped with gaming applications — such as Nokia’s N-Gage service and the iPhone — to get major traction among consumer. Although Apple and Nokia released these platforms earlier this year, gaming companies say they’re optimistic that sales will begin to take off next year with the introduction of a broader range of phone models that support the new cross-platform applications.
