Sony’s third iteration of its Reader e-book device has a built-in light and a touch-sensitive interface, features designed to set it apart from its rival, Amazon.com’s Kindle. The PRS-700, which Sony will put on sale for $400 at the end of the month, contains a stylus for talking notes or highlighting text, but still lacks wireless access to download content. Apple shares are rebounding after the computer maker issued a statement saying reports that CEO Steve Jobs had a heart attack are “not true.” The shares fell 5.4% after a post on Time Warner’s CNN citizen-journalist site iReport.com said Jobs had suffered “a major heart attack.” (Iwantmedia 10/3, http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601204&sid=aVFjKJ.nEO5c 10/3)
