Nintendo will put a new version of its hit DS handhelds on sale in Japan on Nov. 1, and they will be equipped with music-playing and camera features, the company’s president, Satoru Iwata, said today. Sony said its PlayStation 3 and PSP video game systems were performing better than expected and predicted the company would meet its full-year projections — even if the economy gets worse.
