With the Presidential election right around the corner, a new iPhone app called Campaign from Gorloch Interactive tries to provide you with all the dirt on both candidates to make you a “more-informed” voter. BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion is trying hard to make up ground against the iPhone. RIM announced a partnership with Tivo to offer a series of apps to help BlackBerry users communicate with their DVRs remotely. Initially BlackBerry subscribers will be able to use their phones to view programming guides and schedule recordings. The companies plan to build deeper integrations enabling video content saved to the Tivo to be ported over to RIM smartphones. RIM is also working on a similar integration with Sling Media‘s Slingbox. (Cynopsis 9/12)
