Electronic Arts said that it was no longer possible to acquire Take-Two Interactive Software and its best-selling “Grand Theft Auto” franchise in time to take advantage of the holiday selling season and that it had allowed its unsolicited, hostile $2 billion offer to expire. But, according to this article, top executives from the two companies are still talking about a possible deal.
