Free and paid downloads from The App Store have topped 60 million, with Apple recording $1 million in sales per day on the site. CEO Steve Jobs predicted sales of iPhone software will hit half a billion dollars in the near future. The Wall Street Journal (8/11)

Patrick McMullan, the noted nightlife photographer, is set to launch PMc, a luxury fashion “magazine” formatted exclusively for Apple’s iPhone.
