“Dexter,” Showtime’s series about a serial killer who dispatches the bad guys for all the right reasons, is going to be a game on iPhone and iPod Touch. The game, being developed by Showtime and Ecko Games, is expected to be interactive and make use of gesture controls, text messaging and phone calls. (Broadcasting & Cable 7/25)

Japanese cell phone carriers have introduced fitness-related services to devices that mimic features found on exercise equipment, such as KDDI’s Au unit, which measures calories burned, steps taken and distance covered.
