Sony has started shipping its $399 BDP-S350 Blu-ray Disc player, which is 40% smaller than its predecessor and is, according to Sony, more energy-efficient. The player features a six-second boot-up time and will support a BD Live upgrade. (TWICE 7/16)
Samsung has started shipping high-tech end-cap displays to more than 2,000 retailers across the country. The displays feature the manufacturer’s new Touch of Color flat-panel HDTVs and home-theater systems and are customizable for various retail chains. (TWICE 7/16)
The folks at iRiver have come out with a sleek tiny new portable media player, the Lplayer Multifunctional MP4 Player, featuring a 2 inch-wide TFT LCD screen and a FM Tuner. It supports most popular formats including MPEG, MP2, WMA and WMV9 and runs about $110 for the 4GB version and $160 for 8GB model. It even comes in pink. (Cynopsis 7/17)
