ONLINE VIDEO OF THE WEEK: A PARODY OF ALL THINGS ONLINE
Above is a music video for Pork & Beans from Weezer’s forthcoming self-titled album due in stores and online 6.24.08. Currently the music video, which was uploaded on May 23rd, has amassed over 4.5 million views with most viewers watching on YouTube before the video premiered on MTV (late Tuesday). The genius of the video is in its parody of online video culture which seems more like a skit on SNL than a music video. It’s pretty freakin’ hysterical. Check it. Below are some of the videos Weezer pulled from to put it down on the YouTubeness.

Awesome! The only thing missing: Battle at Kruger.
And don’t forget that the South Park episode (Canada Strikes) which featured a number of these guys.
Daft Bodies got mention (fewer view cuz it started out on Daily Motion and College Humor).
