With Apple’s iPod and Nike already in the market, Samsung and Adidas have introduced their own music handset — the miCoach — that also keeps tabs on a user’s workouts and adds new features. Unlike the iPod, the miCoach is also a phone, but at only 1GB stores far less music than the 4GB Apple device. (The Washington Post/PC World 3/8)
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said the company had already begun building device drivers for the Blu-ray DVD system. “I think the world moves on. Toshiba has moved on. We’ve moved on, and we’ll support Blu-ray in ways that make sense,” Ballmer said. (Digital Spy (U.K.) 3/10, High-Def Digest 3/7)
