Kaleidescape, a maker of media servers, will bring to market in 2009 a player that will support playback of Blu-ray high-definition DVD discs and could allow the recording of them to the server. The player will likely again raise the issue with studios of the company’s use of Managed Copy, a technology that allows users to make copies of protected content. CE Pro (2/6)
