The iPhone cometh.

This morning, I woke up at 5AM, grabbed my bike, and ventured to the point of no return: the Apple store on 5th Avenue in New York City.  The sun was just rising over the city and already approximately 100 people were lined up and ready for their iPhone purchase.  Below you will find video of my experience.   MANY THANKS to Ashmi Dang and Sean McNulty for their help in my time of iPhone need.

And some more pictures below.

More to come on Monday but here’s something to get you in the Jesus Phone mood.  I must hand it to Apple.  Never before has a consumer product illicited so much buzz before its launch.  The Apple branding machine is one mean marketing animal.

Apple’s widely hyped and speculated iPhone hits store shelves today, amid consumer frenzy that rivals or surpasses that of any product launch in recent history. The phone, which converges a media player, Web browser and cellular device, has raised Apple stock prices more than 30% since its January unveiling.  ( ClipSyndicate  6/29, Reuters  6/29, The Dallas Morning News/Associated Press  6/29)
