The much ballyhooed interview of Paris Hilton on “Larry King Live” more than tripled King’s regular viewing average. The show also topped the number of viewers who had tuned in to CNN’s last two presidential debates. (Variety 6/28)

After leaving “According to Jim” twisting in the wind during its upfront schedule presentation last month, ABC decided to bring the sitcom back for another season. ABC has ordered 18 episodes that will start airing midseason. (Chicago Sun-Times/Associated Press 6/29)

TiVo announced Thursday that its software has been accepted for deployment on Comcast’s DVR platform. TiVo said Comcast confirmed its acceptance of the software Wednesday, just before a June 30 deadline. (The Boston Globe/Reuters 6/28)

A Thursday filing with the SEC outlined some of the twists and turns the Dolan family has endured in its $10.6 billion proposal to take Cablevision private. The Dolan family, led by Cablevision chairman and founder Charles Dolan, worked with a special directors committee on several occasions to move the deal forward. (Multichannel News 6/28)
